Dominique Duval-Diop, PhD, Deputy Chief Data Officer Department of Commerce (DOC)

Dr. Dominique Duval-Diop is the Department of Commerce Deputy Chief Data Officer serving in the Office of the Undersecretary of Economic Affairs. An accomplished policy leader, data scientist, and economic geographer, she has used data analytics and geospatial analysis to support data-driven decision-making and program design. Prior to joining Commerce, Dr. Duval-Diop served as the U.S. Chief Data Scientist at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. She served as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) fellow and Geospatial Information Advisor, and then as Associate Director of Gender and Social Inclusion at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, where she worked on international infrastructure programs in countries including Senegal, Mozambique, Tunisia, and the Solomon Islands.
Dr. Duval-Diop earned a Bachelors in Economics from Northwestern University, a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, a doctorate degree in Economic Geography from Louisiana State University, and a certificate in Applied Data Analytics from the Coleridge Initiative.
Esther Krofah, MPP, Executive Vice President Milken Institute

Esther Krofah is the executive vice president of Milken Institute Health, leading FasterCures, Public Health, the Future of Aging, and Feeding Change. She has extensive experience managing efforts to unite diverse stakeholders to solve critical issues and achieve shared goals that improve patients’ lives. Most recently, Krofah was the director of public policy at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where she led engagement with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and relevant executive branch agencies on broad healthcare policy issues. Prior to GSK, Krofah was a deputy director of HHS’ Office of Health Reform. She also served as program director at the National Governors Association (NGA) healthcare division and worked in consulting at Deloitte Consulting LLP.
Krofah received a BA from Duke University and a master’s in public policy from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
