Letter From the President

While the meeting is over, the connections and memories are not. It was great to see all of you at TS23. The weather was great, the science greater and you—greatest. Connecting with you all was wonderful. The visit to Capitol Hill was also terrific, meaningful and so important. Dale Dirks and Dane Christiansen, our advocates, take such a hard job, matching 200 of us with our representatives, and make it look easy. It was truly awesome. I’d like to share the metrics with you. However, the results from the survey are still being compiled. In the meantime, we heard stories of how you enjoyed the meetings, workshops, plenaries, and sessions.  I have one simple request—if you are interested in joining an ACTS Committee, please reach out to ACTS and let us know so we can add you to our list of interested members. In the spirit of TS23, we want to thank the Program Committee, the speakers and all of you who participated to make this one of the best meetings I have attended in a long time. We look forward to hearing your ideas for next year and I look forward to working with you one more year. Thanks again for your support of ACTS.

The National Institutes of Health, in partnership with the Lasker Foundation, is pleased to announce the 2023-24 Lasker Clinical Research Scholars Program. The program supports clinical researchers in the early stages of their independent careers. The application deadline is August 25, 2023.
